Torch allows me to search over the Internet in addition to other multiple tasks such as displaying websites, sharing websites through social networks, downloading torrents, accelerating downloads and recording multimedia files, all directly from the browser

What do you like best about Torch?

Torch, has many packages in machine learning, signal processing, audio, video and parallel processing. It also has neural networks and deep learning algorithms. Basically. It allows people to conduct research at a rapid pace, develop ideas more quickly without being bogged down by the details of implementation. At the same time, it allows us to deepen and understand the fundamentals, making the learning cycle faster and more effective.

What do you dislike about Torch?

A negative point of TORCH is that it needs the LuaJIT environment when it is running and is slowing the road to large-scale production. Otherwise, this product is as good as the tensorflow. If someone is willing to learn a new language, this product is highly recommended.

Recommendations to others considering Torch:

Basically, Torch comes with the integration of the LuaJIT programming language with the underlying implementation of C. It has better computational features where managing dependencies is easier than python. The most important reason why I like this framework is that it does not have compile time, which means that its code is interpreted and debugging is much easier.

What problems is Torch solving and how is that benefiting you?

Torch helped me accelerate the result of the investigation, I was able to develop neural networks faster and better understand their internal functioning. I use Torch to develop solutions to the problem of classifying complete slide images of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies. Using Torch has allowed me to test solutions quickly.Torch allows you to browse the Internet in addition to other multiple tasks such as displaying websites, sharing websites through social networks, downloading torrents, accelerating downloads and recording multimedia files, all directly from the browser.

What do you like best about Torch?

1. When images belonging to a class are placed inside a folder bearing the class name, Pytorch's data loader automatically uses the folder name as the class label and maps all images inside the folder to the class.

2. Pytorch offer a lot of pre-trained networks for transfer learning.

3. Pytorch's developer community keeps getting larger, as popular deep learning courses and tutorials now use it.

What do you dislike about Torch?

After loading images to PyTorch's dataloader, it is very hard to integrate it with other libraries like scikit-learn. This has prevented me from performing some machine learning techniques like ensembling, cross-validation, stacking and so on.

What problems is Torch solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am currently using Pytorch to build a sentiment analysis using Twitter data, which has been easy, thanks to Pytorchs's online community.

What do you like best about Torch?

Torch is very easy to incorporate, and at the same time highly flexible. The ease of use and flexibility allows rapid prototyping of components. Allowing people to conduct research at fast pace, develop ideas more quickly while not being bogged down by implementation details. At same time it allows us to dig deeper and understand fundamentals, making the learning loop faster and more effective.

What do you dislike about Torch?

I think biggest issue is the dependence on lua. Newer implementation of pytorch removes this issue.

Use torch if you want to use lua for deep learning. Use pytorch if you are interested in using python

Torch is an open source framework. The inclusion of pre-trained models makes the development of neural networks much faster.

Having to learn a new programming language.
