Develop Diverse has significantly improved our Talent Attraction and Acquisition process. The platform is user-friendly and integrates seamlessly with our existing recruitment tools, particularly the integration to Microsoft Word, making it easy to ensure inclusivity in our job postings.

What do you dislike about Develop Diverse?

The platform is still limited to support three languages; English, Danish, and Swedish - which limits the utilization of the tool in some of our local markets. Also the platform is not directly integrated with our ATS, which would enhance the user experience. However, we do know that DD is working on an integration! Can't wait for it!

What problems is Develop Diverse solving and how is that benefiting you?

Develop Diverse addresses the problem of biased language in recruitment materials, which can unintentionally exclude diverse candidates. By identifying and suggesting more inclusive language, the platform helps us create job postings that appeal to a broader audience. This has led to a more diverse and qualified candidate pool, enhancing our talent acquisition efforts and reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity.

The Develop Diverse Inclusivity Editor is a powerful tool that brings the DEI agenda to life in a meaningful, actionable way. This editor doesn’t just check boxes or offer surface-level changes; it dives deep into language to guide users toward more inclusive communication.

One of the standout features is its ability to detect gendered, ageist, or culturally biased language and suggest inclusive alternatives in real-time. This is incredibly valuable for anyone writing job descriptions, team announcements, or even marketing materials. By using the editor, I became more mindful of the subtle biases in language and became more aware of my communication style. It’s like having a DEI expert by your side, providing on-the-spot education that helps refine your vocabulary in alignment with diversity goals.

Beyond the editor's practical utility, I really appreciate how it empowers everyone in an organization to engage with the DEI mission. I'm excited about how the Develop Diverse Inclusivity Editor will develop and become more agile and AI-based.

What problems is Develop Diverse solving and how is that benefiting you?

For us, this means we’re better equipped to align our messaging with our DEI goals, reducing the likelihood of overlooking potential hires due to unintentional bias in our job postings or internal communications. Beyond hiring, it positively impacts our team culture—encouraging everyone to use language that supports a sense of belonging. This ultimately benefits us by enhancing team cohesion, supporting our DEI goals, and positioning us as a welcoming workplace for all.

What do you like best about Develop Diverse?

Develop Diverse is a very intuitive program that quickly and effectively raises awareness and corrects linguistic biases that one may not be aware of. It provides suggestions at both word and sentence level and supports you in not only correcting but also learning when ones language includes and excludes. This is effective and a central tool for me and my team, as it has saved a lot of time by quickly identifying our own linguistic biases and helping to correct them.

For now we have the basis which is simple but I am looking forward to implementing the program as an Add in to microsoft word as this seems as an even more simple way to use the program in ones everyday work.

What do you dislike about Develop Diverse?

The least helpfull thing is that it is very clear that it is an amercian/english AI system, and that the language comes from this. When using it on danish post you will often notice that the sentence suggestions is directly translated from english to dansih, and quite often this means that the sentences is sunding a bit wierd. Not that they are wrong but the tone and the words chosen somethimes does not fit the meaning, which i belive comes down to the translation.

Further a small frustraion is when it misinterps the use of the meaning. Forexample the word 'leder' which means both 'search' and 'manager' in danish. If you make the sentence 'Are you serching for xxxxx / leder du efter xxx' then it will mark it as not inclusive. This is an issue in my oppinion.

It creates awarenes to our language both internal and external and helps correct this in a simple way.

Develop Diverse is an intuitive platform that is easy for everyone to use – we can even access the inclusive editor in Word.

What we like:

- Everything is research-based.

- You get both word and sentence replacement suggestions.

- They continuously develop new features and listen to our requests.

- We can track published job posts.

- The customer support is amazing; they reply within minutes and regularly check in to help us better understand inclusive writing and how to measure its impact.

What do you dislike about Develop Diverse?

So far, nothing - I use Develop Diverse every day. Although, it's a bit frustrating that some words I like to use are biased.

What problems is Develop Diverse solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are making the language more inclusive to attract more candidates and build a more diverse candidate pool. We're seeing great outcomes from using Develop Diverse. After running an old job post through the inclusive editor and improving the language, we actually attracted over 30% more candidates compared to the last time the job post for that position was live.

What do you like best about Develop Diverse?

Develop Diverse is easy-to-use, easy-to-integrate and easy-to-implement software that I have used with substantial impact to create more diverse hiring. Plus, their staff is fun to work with, offer good customer service and are constantly chasing continuous improvements of the software.

What do you dislike about Develop Diverse?

Develop Diverse is available only in selected languages, which (as far as as I know) is English, Danish and Swedish.
