What do you like best about speechelo?

Very easy and intuitive to use. The voice selection is great/even better if you purchase the Pro version. One time fee. Voice quality is very good. Have used it regularly for a few years now, with no complaints.

What do you dislike about speechelo?

I really do not have any complaints. If I run into an issue, I immediately contact Support and typically receive a response within 24 hrs. I guess one complaint would be if you are experiencing internet issues, you may have an problem as this product is web-based only.

What problems is speechelo solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is quick and easy to generate audio narration. I believe it is much more reliable, efficient and economical to use as opposed to hiring voice telent. Updates, edits, changes can be taken care of in minutes.

What do you like best about speechelo?

The price was affordable in the early days when the A.I voice was not yet popular and flourishing. I bought it in 2020.

In the early days of the AI voice, it somewhat met my need to create voiceover videos in foreign languages, although the 5000 characters limit is quite low.

What do you dislike about speechelo?

- From the very beginning, the AI voice generated by Speechelo is not natural and clear. The tone and rhythm of the voice seem forced. It was easy for listeners to recognize that the AI voice generated by Speechelo sounded like it was coming from a cyborg like it did in '80s sci-fi movies. Over the years, however, the team behind Speechelo hasn't tried to gradually improve the quality of the voices. Standing still means falling behind! It seems they don't intent to add more new features. They don't have a public roadmap so that users can suggest and vote for new features too.

- With the explosion of AI speech generator applications today, Speechelo is almost out of competition in terms of naturalness and clarity of voice. Since I bought it, it's now only suitable for the types of videos that your customers are forced to watch because if they don't watch it they won't know how to do the job (e.g. a how-to videos of an office printer/a projector). Now, it is no longer suitable for the types of videos that attract attention and attract potential customers such as: marketing videos, Video sales letters, knowledge sharing videos, etc.

- In addition, Speechelo's character counter is not good. It also counts the characters of the command.

(For example, "How Messi got Inter Miami to the U.S. Open Cup final with two assists and a fiery team talk" = 91 characters. While "How Messi got Inter Miami to the U.S. Open Cup final with [emphasisSTART]two assists and a fiery team talk[emphasisEND]" = 119 characters. So I say the 5000 characters limit is quite low)

- Upsell to Pro version for more voices, for adding background music,... while the Speechelo team didn't try to improve the quality of the voices days by days. So I don't want to upgrade.

- Upsell for using Translation and Importing Youtube Caption features.

- Hard to use when the Audio Player is opened in a new windows and it cannot be moved so that you can see the text that you had used to generate the speech while the audio is played. I means the Audio Player window covered the text I needed to read for comparison. There is an "Show more text" button in the Audio Player window, but when you click it, whole the text is opened in a new window else, and that window also covers the Audio Player window and it cannot be moved too, so you cannot adjust the Audio Player for repeat or stop. A better platform should let users to follow and adjust everything directly when the Audio Player is playing.

- Not to be professional when Speechelo always ask you to split the long form text in multiple parts for better result, and then you must merge those multiple parts. Wastes the time.

- Only 3 styles of voice, too little: Normal, Friendly, Seriuos

- A lack of pronunciation adjustment. For example, "I'm a Barbie girl in the Barbie world..." ("Barbie Girl", a song of Aqua band). I mean "girl" and "world".

It's now only suitable for the types of videos that your customers are forced to watch because if they don't watch it they won't know how to do the job (e.g. a how-to videos of an office printer/a projector)

What do you like best about speechelo?

One-time purchase price, which is terrific. Generating a quality result is surprisingly quick and easy.

What do you dislike about speechelo?

Horrible UX. Nearly every aspect is 'designed' to get the user to upgrade or sell some tangent product. This is foreshadowed when the product site makes the purchaser click through no less than four pages of 'special offers' AFTER submitting payment. Most of the options in Speechelo are premium-only, however buttons are not disabled, so clicking on them either prompts you to upgrade or tries to redirect to an alternate product (ex, 'Lingo Blaster', whatever that is). The actual useable portion of the software is a fraction of the overall UI. The site says ~70 voices are on offer for the non-pro version, but it's actually 4; the number 70 comes from 4 x (number of langages available). A little bit of lousy trickery. There's a good core product but it's mired in very bad design.

What do you like best about speechelo?

I used it for creating how-to use videos and I must say it did a good job. I have 20 videos of about 5 minutes each live. It is easy to use as the functionalities are limited to the very core.

What do you dislike about speechelo?

They could add more voice chouces as it is quite limited now.

Create voice from text. Doing the recording myself takes too many tries. Speechelo does it from the first try.

What do you like best about speechelo?

The Voices - are so natural that it is hard to differentiate if they have been spoken by a real person or they are based upon Artificial Intelligence. And the range of voices is mind-boggling. Moreover, by using punctuation marks, you can change the whole tone of the speech and it sounds so natural. The AI engine also offers 3 different tones i.e.Normal, Friendly and Serious

What do you dislike about speechelo?

The number of voices that comes with the original purchase is too limited. I mean they could have offered additional voices based on how people speak English in different regions/countries.

I am Digital Marketer. I run Facebook ads for my clients. I often use Speechlo to generate voiceover for videos. I have the liberty to generate a voiceover that matches the native English tone of a specific country.
